Again, in keeping with our theme of a "Downtown" wedding, we held our reception at the Mulberry Art Studios in downtown Lancaster. This magnificent building has an amazing history behind it... For example, in the East Gallery, the room we are used for the cocktail hour, there are some ovens. NO, they're not to keep mini quiches warm, they were actually functional at around the turn of the 20th century, when the building was a bakery.

Of course, as the name implies, The Mulberry Art Studios are not only a hip place for events like our wedding, but also a functional gallery and art studios! As we are hoped, while the guests ate, drank and mingled, they also enjoyed all of the brilliant artwork on display. And yes, the place (in addition to some jazz from the groom's brother David) kept the guests entertained while we got our pictures taken!

Guests from New York compared our reception, to something straight out of Soho in the city. They Mulberry Art Studios... hip and sophisticated like an art gallery in New York City?!? WOW!

Of course, we can't take credit for that... that is ALL due to the crew at M.A.S.! These guys are amazing! They were given complicated instructions on how to set up and run our reception, down to the very smallest detail, and they pulled it off flawlessly. So much so, that when the groom inspected the set up prior to the ceremony, he said via cell phone to one of the bridesmaids, "Tell Stacy everything here is perfect... I can't even FIND something wrong!" We can't thank April, and in particular, Lisa, enough for the hard work, and personal sacrifice that they went through to make our day... well, on par with the swankiest of joints in NYC!

The Mulberry Art Studios are located at 21 North Mulberry Street in Lancaster, PA. For more information about the MAS, just click on any of the pictures to be re-directed to their website. And as always, you can ask us too!
